Artist in Learning Mentoring Programme The aim of the mentoring scheme is to help emerging artists, new to working in learning settings, gain valuable experience in this sector. The participants benefit from a comprehensive package of training, observing other practitioners and running their own placement in a learning setting. There is continual support throughout the project, mainly through their mentor who provides advice, guidance and support and also Northants County Council’s Arts in Education Co-ordinator who manages the project.
We are currently re-evaluating all of our training schemes and funding so there are no current plans to run this in the immediate future but we hope that it will be able to run again in 2009, funding permitting.
If you are interested in training in this area of work please register your details with Anna-Marie Whitaker-Johnson, Arts in Education Co-ordinator via awhitakerjohnson@northamptonshire.gov.uk
