The Northants Creative Learning Partnerships Project has been an exciting and successful movement that has taken place in schools in Northamptonshire, over the last 3 years. Funded by Arts Council East Midlands, and the DCSF, Creative Learning Partnerships has engaged with 41 schools and 2258 children and young people, in a mixture of urban and rural areas of cultural/social deprivation, county wide and has changed approaches to curriculum delivery in those participating schools. It has formed part of a roll out phase of a wider national initiative Creative Partnerships For more information, please visit http://www.creative-partnerships.com .
The initiative aims to develop creative curriculum practice in schools, working on action research projects with external practitioners from the creative and cultural sector. There are plans and negotiations underway to ensure the continuation of this government funded work in future.
