BRIDGES PROJECT
Bridges
Bringing communities together through arts and celebration

What is Bridges?
Bridges is a three year project to support and strengthen community organisations that organise or contribute to festivals in Northamptonshire, and to encourage the use of the arts as a way of celebration. Aimed at Black and Minority Ethnic, Disability and Sexuality Groups as well as other community groups and individuals who would like to celebrate diversity.

What do we do?
The project helps to strengthen festivals through:
• Setting up a festivals forum that enables groups to form closer links and share knowledge and resources.
• Encouraging closer links between festivals and arts organisations.
• Matching volunteers with festival groups.
• Providing training and fact sheets in topics related to putting on events and raising funds.
• Signposting groups to organisations that can provide support.
• Providing small grants for arts activities.
• Compiling a yearly calendar of events.
• The support of the project manager.
